Bethel uses a variety of curriculum to help our students be well rounded in their education. We incorporate A Beka Book, Saxon Math, Shurley English, Alpha Omega and more recently IQ Academy. We also have computer programmed learning activities, Bible curriculums and other resources as needed.
Bethel's goal is to have all students meet academic excellence through quarterly, semester and term examinations that include oral and written tests, class projects and in other forms of documentation. Students shall maintain no less than a 70% grade average in all classes or will go on academic probation requiring mandatory tutoring and possible dismissal if progress is not shown.
Bethel uses 2 types of grading scales: Traditional for academics and Subjective for Citizenship, Behavior & Attitude such as attentiveness, cooperation, effort, obedience and responsibility.

Bethel prepares every student to go to college whether or not they choose to attend. All students are given the standards mandated by the Regents recommended High School Standards for the State of Kansas.
Tutoring is available for any student, whether they are enrolled in Bethel or not. There is an extra charge for all subjects - excluding foreign languages.
With the exception of students who enroll mid-term or who have learning disabilities (refer to "alternative course of study" in the Student Handbook), Students are required to earn 25 credits to graduate and receive a diploma from Bethel Christian Academy. Early graduation is permissible and to be eligible to join commencement exercises, students must have at least a 70% average in all classes or will receive their diploma by mail. Class average of 59% or below will not receive a diploma but can petition the Board for conditions required to receive their diploma at a later date.
Here are the minimum class credit requirements:
Bethel accepts college credits for graduation from an approved institution within 30 days of completing the class on college stationary to be awarded the credit. Students must apply to the Administrator in writing prior to graduation for permission to use those credits for graduation. Board approval may also need to be obtained.
